Thomas David Jones was born in January 22, 1955 in Baltimore Maryland. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in basic from the United states air force academy in 1977. After pilot training in Oklahoma, he flew strategic bombs at Carswell Air Force Base, Texas. As the pilot of a B-52 he aculated over 2,000 hours of Jet flight time. He resigned as a Captain in 1982. In 1994 he flew as a mission specialist on a successive flights of the space shuttle Endeavour. During the writing the book Hell Hawks he was a ex Astronaut. He had been in space for 53 days (1,272 hours). With being in space he also did 3 spacewalks, totaling over 19 hours. A few years earlier he stopped working with NASA. he worked with NASA for 11 years. He wrote the book with another person alongside of him.
Robert Francis Dorr was born on September 11, 1939 and died on June 12, 2016. He was an american author and a retired senior diplomat. He published over 70 books and hundreds of short stories in his life. In his teens he wrote letters to Boeing, and other aircraft companies to pictures of classified aircraft. The FBI opened multiple espionage investigations on him but they were dropped after he was concluded he was a “loyal American boy”. After high school he joined the Air force in 1957. He served in Korea. After leaving the Air force he moved to San Francisco, and went to UC Berkeley. After university he became a Foreign Service Officer with the US Department State. He was assigned as a US diplomat and political officer to U.S. Embassies and Consulates in Madagascar, South Korea, Japan, Liberia, Sweden and the United Kingdom. He was fluent in French, Japanese, Korean, Russian, Swedish and German. In 1989 he stopped working for the US government and devoted the rest life to writing war stories until he died in June of 2016.
